TITLE: Software Quality Assurance Engineer - CVAS
Detailed Job Description:

This statement of work is for Software Quality Assurance Engineer on the Network Element – Converged Application Server (CVAS).

Quality Assurance Engineer Deliverables:
Client proprietary tools must be used to execute test cases
Client quality method of operations procedures must be followed
Test case execution rates must meet the daily/weekly run rates
Once test cases are passed, must be automated based on the use of proprietary tools
Staff must be qualified seasoned quality assurance engineers and are expected to handle the following:
Requirement stakeholder
Authoring test cases
Product testing
Debugging test case set-up problems, also debugging service creation problems where applicable
Test case automation

Quality Assurance Engineer Responsibilities:
Review and stakeholder services requirements and design documents in order to write test cases that provide complete test coverage for Multi-Unit Test (MUT) (development) cycle and the Product Test (PT) cycle
Use Client proprietary tools (and simulators) to execute the test cases during test periods (MUT/PT)
Run the test cases and automate the test cases to prepare for automated regression
Debugging skills for service level code (service code is written in a proprietary meta language)
Lab cluster ownership and management (IBM Unix based cluster/blades hardware)

Skill Sets / Qualifications

Quality Assurance Engineer Skills Requirements:
8+ years of testing, particularly with real-time telecom systems – a must
Testing/working knowledge and practical use of telecomm protocols, such as, DIAMETER, ETSI CORE INAP, CAMEL, IS41 (WIN), IS826, IS771, CDMA, and GSM.
Working knowledge of TCAP and SS7
Knowledge of telecom wireless services such as pre-paid or post-paid applications.
Good communication skills (speaking and writing)
Must be proficient in UNIX
Proactive personality, self starter
