Works on software development initiatives of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Exhibits functional expertise, works on complex problems requiring a high level of ingenuity and creativity gained through years of practical experience. Frequently contributes to the development of new principles, theories and methods. Often self initiated, work is usually performed independently with minimal direction from manager. May provide technical leadership to less experienced professional staff, as either a generalist or specialist within area of expertise.
Position involves Intelligent Network Service Creation using a Client-proprietary Service Creation environment. Position includes service design, definition and execution of test cases, problem analysis and debugging, software maintenance, requirements review and support. Position requires experience in telecommunications, with specific experience in fixed networks and GSM mobile systems, and good knowledge of voice and data protocols, knowledge of SS7, INAP-CS1, CAMEL Phase 1, 2, and 3, GPRS, SMS, MAP protocols, ETSI and ITU-TCAP, Diameter. Software Development experience is a requirement. Knowledge of ASN.1 notation and UNIX scripting is a plus. AIN Service Creation and testing experience is a plus.
Typically requires 6+ years related experience with a BS; 4-6 years experience with an MS.
