Overview of the Project Manager Role
The Project Manager (PM) is accountable for leading and managing the delivery of moving our production environment from Groton/New London data center to Needham as the new Primary site. Additionally, this PM will manage the delivery of our internal disaster recovery environment for document management. They will ensure that project deliverables and objectives are provided in accordance with the budget, schedule and quality standards agreed upon.

· Accountable for the project execution and operational delivery of project
· Accountable for defining, negotiating and proactively managing project scope, schedule, resources and budget, and monitoring progress by providing periodic project status updates including progress, milestones and issues
· Ensure production of quality project deliverables and are completed in compliance with established processes
· Develop a deep working knowledge and understanding of business process and the program’s infrastructure and technologies to be able to effectively present and demonstrate the technology solution to all levels of the business and informatics organizations
· Liaise with all stakeholders and shared services to ensure open communication, inclusiveness and transparency
· Contribute and provide support in third-party partnership and relationship activities
Role Responsibilities
The Project Manager will be expected to:
· Plan, manage and monitor project activities and budget from outset to project close-out, adhering to and in compliance with the ELC.
· Participate in ensuring that key initiatives and process improvements are fully evaluated from strategic and tactical perspectives.
· Be responsible for ensuring that project contracted staff are trained (i.e. 21 CFR part 11, ELC, GCP) and that job descriptions and CVs/resumes of all project contracted staff are maintained and readily available.
· Be responsible for defining comprehensive roles and responsibilities and delivery to project team staff.
· Be responsible for recruitment integrating new team members and existing team members into a high-performing, aligned and fully functional project team.
· Accountable for proactively anticipating and managing project risks and issues and reporting to Service Delivery Lead as appropriate.
· Ensure that Enterprise Project Management (EPM) and other tools are consistently applied and adhered to by project team members (i.e. iPM, Activity Tracker, SourceForge, eContainer, Cognos).
· Responsible for ensuring and maintaining bi-directional communication amount key stakeholders and service delivery lead/owner.
· Responsible for ensuring that all project communication (i.e. Pfizer news articles, product release) is reviewed and approved by PMO/CL before Pfizer public distribution
· Report progress and issues in agreed-upon periodic updates, in accordance with the established status reporting process.
· Ensure project activities are carried out in a professional manner respecting the use of Pfizer Colleagues’ time, both internal and external, and initiating corrective action where necessary.
